Cineos Impress
Our crews recently got to work with a great set of lights from the folks at Cineo Lighting. Las Vegas video production can incorporate a wide range of subjects, locations, and varying situations, so it's great to stay up on the latest and greatest in lighting, audio, and of course, photography. The HS2s from Cineo are very capable and impressive remote phosphor lights that output a beautiful, powerful light, but in a light weight and mobile package. They worked great indoors and outdoors last week, and we here at FiveSix know that we'll be using this light frequently, and will probably end up with more lights from the good people at Cineo. If you need to rent some, head over to F11 Rentals, and book yourself a couple.
Do Vegas Like a Canadian
We've grown mighty close to our Canadian neighbors, eh!? Our buddies have been keeping us busy with many famous movie stars in iconic Vegas locales. We just love mixing and mingling with our North American fwiends, okay guy? We're going to go get some Molsons, or maybe some Labatts and have some poutine, and get ready for another fun day with those Moose riding hosers we love so much!
FiveSix Productions Chills on the Block, with Jenny.
Over the weekend, FiveSix Productions took the opportunity to kick it with Jenny from the block. JLo, who's giving anyone willing to pay, all she has, is at Planet Hollywood here in Las Vegas, and she had some nice things to say about the team of men and women who are putting on her show. We cranked up our trusty LED light panels to full blast, and let our reliable Canon C300 roll for an exciting 45 seconds of grandeur. Once she nailed her line in one take (like a boss), she was on to hand shakes, hugs, and pictures with droves of her fanatic fans, and our lights were right there for all the action. We're off to find a mid-day karaoke bar, where we can belt out our best rendition of some of her hits, before heading off to our next Las Vegas video production gig.
2016 Las Vegas Film Festival
It's that time of year again! It's time for the annual Las Vegas Film Festival held in historic downtown Las Vegas. The festival kicked off yesterday (Wednesday the 7th), and will run through Sunday the 12th. There are over 90 short and feature length films being shown, along with music video labs, mixers, brunches, and of course, parties. Tickets are still available, but they're going fast! There are individual screening tickets for $12- that get you in and to an available screening, $60 gets you to as many as you have time for and there's space for, $120 gets you VIP, and $250 makes you a bit of a festival deity.
All in all, it sounds like an absolute blast of a time! We here at FiveSix are in the bittersweet position of having way too many shoots and editing scheduled this week to attend- which seems to be a trend.... Enjoy, all you who are attending, and best of luck to anyone who has a project in the mix! Here are some links to get you where you need to be:
